Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews to assess clients’ needs, documenting progress from intake through discharge.

• Design and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored to the unique circumstances of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and personal growth.

• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment journey, adapting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and other mental health specialists, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.

• Conduct follow-ups with psychiatrists for clients hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any emerging concerns.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and work proactively with clients and their families to facilitate coping strategies.

• Engage families and primary caregivers in educational and supportive roles to address mental health challenges, fostering a comprehensive support network.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Grateful Growth Counseling Center serves a diverse clientele, including individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Patients may present with a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and various behavioral conditions. Qualifications\n

• An accredited Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• A current and valid license in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW is essential.

• A successful pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in the use of electronic health records, specifically AVATAR or similar systems.
\n
• In-depth understanding of mental health conditions, including co-occurring disorders such as addiction and chronic physical health concerns.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills.

• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly within community health settings.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of medication management and its effects, as well as the ability to navigate complex psychological assessments.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
