Key Responsibilities

As an LCSW, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and developing tailored treatment plans in alignment with best practices.
• Delivering various therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), based on evidence-based techniques suited to individual client preferences.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all patient information is confidential and secure.
• Collaborating with educational staff, including teachers and administrators, to promote mental health awareness and integrate supportive strategies within the school environment.
• Participating in regular multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and strategize on treatment methodologies.
• Providing educational resources and support services to families regarding mental health topics, available resources, and coping strategies.
• Staying informed on current mental health research to continually apply new findings within your therapeutic practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children, adolescents, and their families within the school system, addressing a range of mental health challenges from anxiety and depression to family dynamics and behavioral issues. Your role will not only involve direct support for patients but also outreach efforts to educate and empower families on mental health resources pertinent to their needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• An understanding of school-based mental health practices and child development principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and colleagues.
• The ability to maintain a compassionate approach while managing a caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
