Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and the opportunity to deliver critical mental health services from a favorable setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to gauge students' mental health status, strengths, and individual needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and observation techniques.
• Deliver tailored therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to address a broad spectrum of mental health issues.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and educators to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment plans that reflect the student’s goals and preferences.
• Educate and support students and their families in understanding diagnoses, treatment options, and the implications of medication use, ensuring they feel empowered in their mental health journey.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities designed to foster engagement and encourage therapeutic growth.
• Assist students in navigating the complex mental health system, advocating for their rights, needs, and access to necessary resources and services.
• Organize and lead therapeutic groups, psychoeducational sessions, and discharge planning meetings to facilitate a smooth transition for students after treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents, each facing unique mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and experiences of your students will be essential in tailoring your therapeutic approaches to suit their needs effectively.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Possession of an active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Strong collaborative skills, enabling effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in mental health settings, particularly with children and adolescents in school or educational environments.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms for documentation and service delivery.
• Experience in delivering training or workshops for educators and staff around mental health awareness and intervention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
