Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services to students, including assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling, tailored to their unique emotional and mental health needs.
• Establish trusting relationships with clients and engage effectively with families to understand their cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and values.
• Conduct thorough, evidence-based screenings and assessments to identify students in need of care, arranging for further evaluation when necessary.
• Develop and implement integrated care plans in collaboration with clients, families, educators, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
• Facilitate crisis intervention as needed, providing immediate support for students experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes while adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
• Participate as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, contributing to discussions that enhance care delivery and improve service quality.
• Engage in professional development activities, maintaining knowledge of best practices in clinical social work and school mental health initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to support a diverse population of school-aged children who may be experiencing symptoms of major mental illness or severe emotional disorders. Clients will represent varied backgrounds, and the LCSW will be challenged to address complex social and behavioral issues that impact their academic and social functioning. Your efforts will not only help in treating individual symptoms but also contribute to fostering a healthier school climate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably within a school or community mental health setting.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals and professionals.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and the ability to navigate community resources for children and families will enhance the effectiveness of this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
