Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and understand client concerns, background, and treatment goals relevant to their academic and personal lives.

• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy using a variety of evidence-based modalities, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and play therapy.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that directly address the unique needs and circumstances of each student.

• Engage in ongoing collaboration with students, parents, and school staff to track progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.

• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines while providing empathetic care to all clients.

• Commit to continuous professional development and stay informed on the latest therapeutic practices and mental health trends.

• Build a therapeutic alliance with clients, fostering trust, openness, and a commitment to personal development.

• Offer practical strategies and emotional support to help clients manage stress, anxiety, and other life challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on children and adolescents, addressing a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics. You will be instrumental in creating interventions that not only support their immediate needs but also equip them with the tools they require for long-term success. Participating in multidisciplinary meetings will enhance the holistic approach to student well-being.

Qualifications

• An active Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is necessary.

• At least two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in a school or educational setting, is preferred.

• Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention are essential.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with school-aged populations and familiarity with educational systems and child development principles.

Compensation and Benefits
