Executive Chef / Multi-Unit Kitchen Leader
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Chef to lead and oversee operations for two high-volume kitchens. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of managing busy kitchen environments, developing strong teams, maintaining food quality standards, and controlling operational costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for two high-volume kitchen operations.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and execution across both locations.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff and management teams.
- Create and maintain efficient kitchen systems, procedures, and standards.
- Manage labor scheduling and staffing levels to meet operational demands while maintaining labor cost targets.
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory levels, purchasing, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Collaborate with ownership and management teams on menu development, specials, and operational improvements.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume restaurant, hospitality, or food service operations.
- Previous experience overseeing multiple kitchen locations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labor management, scheduling, and workforce planning.
- Demonstrated success managing food cost, inventory control, and purchasing programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
