Executive Chef / Multi-Unit Kitchen Leader

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Chef to lead and oversee operations for two high-volume kitchens. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of managing busy kitchen environments, developing strong teams, maintaining food quality standards, and controlling operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for two high-volume kitchen operations.
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and execution across both locations.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff and management teams.
  • Create and maintain efficient kitchen systems, procedures, and standards.
  • Manage labor scheduling and staffing levels to meet operational demands while maintaining labor cost targets.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory levels, purchasing, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Collaborate with ownership and management teams on menu development, specials, and operational improvements.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume restaurant, hospitality, or food service operations.
  • Previous experience overseeing multiple kitchen locations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor management, scheduling, and workforce planning.
  • Demonstrated success managing food cost, inventory control, and purchasing programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
