Business Development Manager (Infrastructure Industry Group)

We are partnered with a leading global law firm in its search for a Business Development Manager to support its market-leading Infrastructure Industry Group. This is a sector-based, global role with a strong client-facing focus, combining strategic client development, integrated campaigns, and profile-raising initiatives alongside core business development responsibilities. Based in New York, you will play a key role in delivering industry-led BD initiatives across a highly dynamic and evolving sector, working closely with global leadership, partners, and cross-functional Marketing & Business Development teams. The role offers exposure to major global themes including infrastructure investment, digitalisation, and the energy transition. We are keen to speak with individuals with Business Development and Marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment. Prior exposure to infrastructure, energy, or broader industrial sectors will be advantageous. We are open to candidates stepping into a Manager role as well as more experienced individuals seeking a globally integrated, sector-focused remit. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the delivery of strategic initiatives within the Infrastructure Industry Group business plan, supporting client engagement and revenue growth Analyze market, client, and competitor insights to identify trends, opportunities, and priority areas for business development Support the development and execution of client engagement programmes, strengthening relationships with priority clients and identifying cross-selling opportunities Drive go-to-market initiatives and integrated marketing campaigns in collaboration with marketing and communications teams Lead the creation and maintenance of key marketing materials, credentials, and thought leadership aligned with industry developments Provide industry input into pitches, proposals, and profile-raising initiatives, ensuring consistent and compelling positioning Foster collaboration across practice groups, strategic client teams, and global BD functions to deliver integrated client solutions Coordinate internal stakeholder engagement, including managing industry group meetings and communications Track and report on BD activity, pipeline, and performance against strategic objectives Mentor and guide junior BD team members, supporting high-quality and consistent delivery This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly strategic, globally connected industry group at the forefront of major market developments.
