Empower Well Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote position allows you to provide critical mental health services within a school environment, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will advocate for and support the mental well-being of students, ensuring they receive the necessary care to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on emotional and behavioral health challenges faced by students.

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students’ mental health and formulate treatment plans tailored to their needs.
\n
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to support students experiencing acute distress, ensuring safety and emotional stabilization.
\n
• Regularly communicate with educators and parents to monitor student progress, address concerns, and coordinate support efforts.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation, including clinical assessments and progress notes, complying with organizational and educational policies.
\n
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment and discharge plans addressing students’ psychosocial needs.
\n
• Establish and foster relationships with community resource organizations and represent the center in discussions aimed at addressing the social and emotional needs of students.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a wide variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and trauma-related stress. You will provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to explore their feelings and challenges, empowering them to enhance their coping strategies and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
\n
• Possession of one of the following independent licenses is mandatory: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling or related fields.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a school setting or working with adolescents and their families is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and integrating these into treatment plans.
\n
• Knowledge of community resources available for students and families and the ability to connect them to additional support as needed.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
