Empower Well Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree and an independent license in one of the following: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide crisis intervention for students facing emotional and behavioral challenges, ensuring they receive immediate and appropriate support.

• Communicate regularly and effectively with other health care professionals regarding patient progress, treatment needs, and any emerging concerns that require attention.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records, including clinical documentation and progress notes, adhering strictly to departmental policies and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans, ensuring they are tailored to each student’s unique circumstances and psychosocial needs.

• Engage with local community resource groups, representing Empower Well at meetings and contributing to initiatives that address the psychosocial needs of our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of issues from academic stress and anxiety to behavioral disorders and family dynamics. Your expertise will be critical in creating a safe and inclusive environment, where students feel empowered to share their challenges and work towards personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

• Possession of an independent license: LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical setting is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience working within educational settings and familiarity with research-based interventions for youth will be advantageous. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis management strategies will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
