Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will have an array of responsibilities critical to our mission of providing exceptional mental health care. Your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments that identify the mental health needs of clients and creating tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique situations.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic services, utilizing a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care for individuals, families, and groups.

• Collaborating closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and holistic care that addresses the full spectrum of a client’s needs.

• Handling crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, ensuring they receive timely and compassionate help.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including adults, adolescents, and families facing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and trauma. This diverse demographic enriches your practice and requires you to demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively connect with and support each client.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this vital role, candidates should have the following qualifications:

• A current and independent license, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and nurture therapeutic engagements with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Cultural competence, with a demonstrated ability to engage sensitively with diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic groups.

• Strong organizational skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.

Preferred Experience\n

While we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, experience in community mental health settings and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems are highly desirable. Experience in crisis intervention or previous work with underrepresented populations will also be advantageous.
