Qualified candidates must hold active South Carolina SPED certification and be comfortable adapting curriculum and providing direct instruction in core academic areas. This position involves working closely with students, families, teachers, and related service providers to ensure every child’s unique needs are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience teaching students with mild intellectual disabilities preferred
• Ability to adapt grade-level curriculum to individualized learning plans
• Proven success implementing IEP-driven supports and accommodations
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills
• Passion for creating an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in a core replacement classroom
• Align lessons with students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and provide targeted academic support
• Track student progress and clearly document outcomes
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional supports per IEPs
• Participate in IEP meetings, helping develop and review student goals
