Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews, assessing clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual, couples, family, and group therapy, ensuring that interventions are effective and responsive to client needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to foster engagement and promote healing.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies based on observed outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and other counselors to coordinate care and create integrated intervention plans.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, offering strategies to overcome these barriers.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

• Manage client referrals to such resources as additional therapeutic services, psychiatric support, or community services when needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will include a diverse group of individuals, families, and couples from various backgrounds. You will provide care for those experiencing a spectrum of mental health issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with clients and interdisciplinary teams.

• A strong understanding of the therapeutic process, mental health diagnoses, and treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation.

• Practical experience working with clients with a range of emotional and physical health challenges, including addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications prescribed by healthcare providers.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and empathetic nature when working with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
