Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through individual sessions, using evidence-based diagnostic tools and methodologies.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans that are personalized, goal-oriented, and adaptable to the evolving needs of each client.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions—offering both individual and group therapy—while providing support and teaching coping strategies to promote mental wellness.

• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, making timely referrals to psychiatrists or other providers as necessary to support the client’s recovery journey.

• Document all client interactions, treatment progress, and changes to care plans in adherence to organizational policies and ethical standards.

• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring clients feel supported and safe during difficult times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults experiencing a variety of mental health disorders, including those suffering from substance use, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. Our clientele is diverse, spanning various backgrounds and cultures, which requires a deep cultural competence and understanding in your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and active license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, with a proven ability to deliver quality mental health care.

• Strong theoretical foundation in mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and culturally responsive practices.

• Excellent communication skills, enabling the establishment of trust and rapport with patients from various backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
