Work Environment As a remote position, this role offers flexibility while allowing you to engage directly with students, families, and educational professionals. The work setting primarily involves conducting virtual sessions and providing remote support interventions. Key Responsibilities Serve as a key liaison between students, their families, and outpatient providers, ensuring a cohesive approach to care. Navigate interactions with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management, facilitating necessary approvals for client services. Participate actively in discharge and aftercare planning, creating continuity in treatment and support beyond immediate therapeutic sessions. Provide therapeutic meal support, demonstrating and modeling healthy relationships with food and self-image. Deliver safe, empathetic, and affirming care that respects each client's unique circumstances and intersectional identities. Maintain precise documentation of therapeutic interventions, client progress, and case notes in compliance with organizational standards. Engage in regular team meetings to discuss case management, share insights, and collaborate on treatment strategies. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work primarily with school-aged children and adolescents who are facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our center emphasizes holistic well-being, catering to clients from diverse backgrounds and with differing needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your insight and expertise will help shape treatment paths that address the unique experiences of each client. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required. Valid LCSW license in the state of California is essential. Experience working with school-aged youth and families, particularly with respect to their educational and social environments. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to assess and create effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating clear and compassionate interactions with clients and external partners. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience At least two years of direct clinical experience, preferably including work in school or community mental health settings. Prior experience with therapeutic approaches related to childhood and adolescent development. Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and ability to incorporate these methodologies into treatment strategies. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
