Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at High Focus Counseling, you will undertake various responsibilities designed to support our patients effectively:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and establish tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery and enhance resilience in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to discuss their experiences and develop coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating compassion and quick thinking in high-pressure situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems and related computer applications.

• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience, ideally focused on trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
