This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining direct communication with colleagues and clients via telehealth platforms. You will have access to electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document and track patient progress efficiently. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments during initial consultations, actively listening and building rapport to facilitate trust with clients.

• Analyze each client’s mental, emotional, and behavioral health to formulate individualized treatment plans that align with the person’s goals and needs.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices to foster healing and development.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress against established treatment milestones, adjusting approaches as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to develop cohesive intervention strategies.

• Provide essential follow-up care for clients with hospitalization needs, ensuring continuity of care by coordinating with hospital staff.

• Empower family members and caregivers by providing education and support regarding mental health challenges and coping strategies.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to comply with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must possess and maintain a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within New York state.
\n
• Completion of the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective client interaction and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated capacity for exceptional interpersonal relations, empathy, and understanding of diverse client backgrounds.

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in a clinic or community health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
