Work Environment

This position is based in our rehabilitation facility in Paterson, New Jersey, offering an onsite work experience. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, analyzing strengths, weaknesses, and functional limitations.
• Develop personalized treatment programs that incorporate evidence-based practices and address the specific needs of each patient.
• Administer therapeutic interventions designed to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore functional abilities across a variety of cases, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Utilize advanced modalities and therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to facilitate recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with regulatory standards and contribute to ongoing treatment modifications as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with patients and their families, providing education and guidance throughout the recovery process.
• Collaborate with fellow clinicians and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will entail working with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from sports injuries, surgeries, neurological conditions, and various orthopedic issues. This variety provides an enriching environment for professional growth, as you will be exposed to distinct treatment modalities and rehabilitation strategies that cater to each specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is required to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient in word processing and computer skills, with the ability to navigate electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly within orthopedics or sports medicine, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with patients, facilitating a positive therapeutic environment.
• A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate on patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
