Paradise Mind Physical Therapy & Wellness Center, located in the vibrant city of Paterson, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist. In this role, you will be integral to our mission of helping patients regain their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life after injury or surgery. As a physical therapist within our innovative practice, you will leverage your skills in evaluation, treatment planning, and patient management to foster recovery and promote well-being.

Work Environment

This position is an onsite role primarily focused on home care, allowing you to provide services directly in patients' homes. You will collaborate closely with a small, dedicated team of professionals, including two physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), fostering a collegial atmosphere that prioritizes quality patient care. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations, establishing clear treatment objectives based on their individual needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans incorporating a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including hands-on manual therapy, exercise techniques, and patient education.
• Effectively manage an expected caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring individualized attention and quality of care.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, maintaining consistent communication with patients regarding their recovery journey.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their rehabilitation process, addressing any emotional or psychological barriers that may impact recovery.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to optimize and coordinate patient care.
• Promote health and wellness through education on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population you will serve includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic conditions affecting mobility and function. Our patients often seek our services to enhance their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs focused on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and overall physical function.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions on your license.
• Proficiency in navigating electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, and implementing treatment documentation procedures.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, with a strong emphasis on clinical skills in a home care environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing patient-specific exercise regimens aimed at recovery and long-term health.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
