Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document each case from initial consultation to treatment completion, ensuring accurate records and client care continuity.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health by employing comprehensive diagnostic techniques and clinical insights.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans that cater to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, with a focus on promoting positive behavioral changes.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities while fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

• Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment plans, regularly reviewing and adjusting interventions based on their evolving needs.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated and holistic client care.

• Follow up on medication management by liaising with prescribing physicians, particularly for clients needing hospitalization or specialized care.

• Identify potential obstacles to recovery and implement proactive strategies to mitigate negative behaviors that could hinder progress.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding mental health issues, equipping them with effective strategies to manage challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve a diverse population of clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your focus will be on establishing strong therapeutic relationships that empower clients to actively participate in their healing journey. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated clinical experience as a mental health counselor, emphasizing proficiency in delivering therapeutic support.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, with experience in AVATAR being a distinct advantage.

• Knowledgeable about managing underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth awareness of the impacts of medications prescribed by other healthcare professionals.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create rapport with diverse client populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
