Work Environment

You will work in our outpatient office setting, where the patient-centered atmosphere fosters a collaborative environment among physical therapists and support staff. With regular working hours from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, you can expect a balanced professional life in a vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical capabilities and limitations, establishing relevant goals and treatment objectives.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized care that meets the unique needs of each client.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to aid patients in regaining function and movement.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs that enhance mobility while promoting non-pharmacological pain management approaches.
• Document patient progress thoroughly and accurately in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, such as WebPT, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Encourage adherence to treatment plans and foster motivation within patients to achieve functional independence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to facilitate holistic patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, exercise, and wellness strategies to support long-term health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your work will primarily involve managing patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse client population that includes athletes, active individuals, and those rehabilitating from chronic pain issues. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for patients by enhancing their strength, flexibility, and overall functionality.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions against your professional license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise programs.
• Experience using EMR software, specifically WebPT, for patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in evaluating and treating a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Continued education or certifications in specialized therapeutic areas will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
