Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and current mental health status.

• Utilize established therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a platform for patients to process their experiences and develop healthy coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic and integrated care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

• Offer crisis intervention support during emergency situations related to trauma.

• Provide educational resources to patients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping mechanisms.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on clients who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, including severe emotional distress caused by life events. Our patients often struggle with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, many of whom require ongoing support to navigate their feelings and work towards healing. By providing tailored therapeutic interventions, you will help clients rebuild their lives and foster emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey is essential.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with trauma-informed care.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
