Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that factor in the developmental challenges and family dynamics of each patient.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, to support the mental health progress of young patients.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that aim to empower caregivers with the tools and strategies necessary to create supportive home environments.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless integration of services for comprehensive patient care.

• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention for adolescents and children experiencing mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about their mental health conditions and available treatment resources to foster understanding and compliance.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily focus on young patients aged 5 to 18, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. Your role will be vital in advocating for and supporting these children and their families as they navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in child and adolescent settings.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, alongside familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic methodologies.

• Experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Capacity to build rapport and trust with minors and their families quickly.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and adept with various computer applications relevant to clinical settings.
