Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver crisis intervention and support to children and adolescents in mental health emergencies, employing effective de-escalation techniques and immediate therapeutic strategies.

• Educate patients and family members about mental health conditions, available resources, and treatment options, empowering them with knowledge to facilitate recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline processes.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to discuss patient progress, share insights, and collaborate on treatment plans, fostering a multidisciplinary approach.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, taking into account emotional, behavioral, and developmental factors influencing child and adolescent well-being.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, aligning therapeutic approaches with each patient’s unique development and family circumstances.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or play therapy, tailored to address specific mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to support their children’s emotional growth in a nurturing environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a unified care strategy that addresses the holistic needs of each young patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. This includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. You will work closely with both the patients and their families, aiming to create supportive therapeutic relationships that enhance the overall treatment outcomes. Understanding the unique developmental needs of your clients is crucial for your role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy.

• Possession of a valid clinical license as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent in California is required to practice and to bill through Medicare.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatments, alongside familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.

• Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
