Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver coordinated care that addresses the physical and mental health needs of children and adolescents.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients facing urgent mental health challenges, demonstrating swift clinical judgement and emotional support.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to inform the development of personalized treatment plans that reflect individual and family dynamics.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Maintain confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to discuss treatment progress, share insights, and enhance collective knowledge.

• Stay abreast of advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry, leveraging new insights to improve therapeutic practices.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy tailored to the developmental stage of each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on child and adolescent patients who may struggle with a variety of mental health disorders including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. Understanding the complexities of youthful development and the impact of familial relationships will be crucial in your practice. Your role will not only deal with individual therapy but will also emphasize the importance of family involvement in achieving positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California is required.

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment models.

Compensation and Benefits\n
