Bookkeeper and Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid / Part-time)

Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid) Location: Boca Raton, FL (Hybrid -- 2 Days In-Office / Remaining Days Remote) Employment Type: Part-Time, W-2 Employee Hours: 24 to 30 Hours per Week (Flexible Scheduling Available) Compensation: $28.00 -- $32.00 per hour, based on experience About the Role We are seeking an organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper and Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to manage our daily financial transactions and support vendor relationships of a single-family office. This is a stable, long-term opportunity requiring approximately 24 to 30 hours per week. The role requires two days per week in our Boca Raton office to handle physical mail, checks, records management, and in-person coordination. The remaining work may be completed remotely. The ideal candidate has advanced, hands-on QuickBooks experience and practical experience processing invoices and payments through BILL (formerly Bill.com). Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and assist the Controller with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting. Enter, classify, and record financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks. Manage the full accounts payable cycle through BILL, including invoice intake, coding, approval routing, and payment scheduling. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and vendor statements on a regular basis. Maintain organized vendor records, accounts payable documentation, and supporting financial files. Handle incoming financial mail, organize records, and coordinate with management during on-site workdays. Respond promptly and professionally to vendor inquiries and payment-status requests. Qualifications 3-4 years of bookkeeping and/or accounts payable experience. Advanced, hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop is required. Experience using BILL for invoice processing and vendor payments is required. Ability to work on-site in Boca Raton two days per week. Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to manage priorities independently in a hybrid work environment. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Schedule and Work Environment Approximately 24-30 hours per week, scheduled across 3-5 days based on business needs and mutual availability.
