The TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Full-Time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This role involves providing personalized physical therapy services to children, assessing their needs, and implementing effective treatment plans. Work Environment

This role will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. You will work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and occupational therapists, to provide cohesive care to our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations to accurately assess the developmental and physical needs of children.
• Design, implement, and oversee personalized treatment plans based on individual patient evaluations, ensuring a connection between assessment findings and therapeutic goals.
• Monitor and reassess patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs or goals.
• Document all patient interactions diligently, including SOAP notes, progress summaries, and care plans using our electronic medical records system.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and any potential challenges, ensuring they are engaged and informed throughout the recovery process.
• Engage in collaborative team meetings with other healthcare professionals to discuss shared clients and integrate therapy approaches for comprehensive care.
• Promote the core values of the organization and serve as an ambassador for the TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center's mission and vision.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus on pediatric patients entails a diverse range of diagnoses including developmental delays, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and orthopedic issues. As a Physical Therapist at TheraPlay, you will develop specialized strategies to meet the individual needs of children from various backgrounds, helping them to enhance their physical capabilities and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Proficiency in utilizing both in-person and telehealth modalities for patient evaluation and therapy, ensuring adaptability to changing clinical situations.
• A passion for working with a diverse pediatric population, exhibiting empathy and cultural sensitivity.
• A flexible and agile approach, adapting to the dynamic healthcare landscape.
• A team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to both patients and families.

Preferred Experience

Previous pediatric physical therapy experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth practices and experience working within a multi-disciplinary team environment will be considered an advantage. Knowledge of updated physical therapy methodologies and an eagerness to engage in ongoing professional development are also encouraged.

Compensation and Benefits
