Key Responsibilities\n

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ mental health needs and developing individualized treatment plans.

• Providing therapeutic sessions via secure telehealth platforms, facilitating discussions around issues such as self-esteem, anxiety, addiction, and familial conflicts.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress to inform ongoing care decisions.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses (APRNs), to ensure that clients receive integrated and holistic care.

• Offering crisis intervention services to clients in acute distress, employing de-escalation techniques to manage and navigate challenging situations.

• Engaging with family members of clients to provide psychoeducation and support as needed, helping to foster a positive environment for recovery.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals dealing with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and varying degrees of emotional distress. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for the Virtual Mental Health Counselor position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in Washington State—specifically, either a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

• No history of medical malpractice claims, to be verified by a third party.
\n
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with a demonstrated history of working with diverse populations and those possessing experience in telehealth provision will be prioritized.
