Executive Chef 2

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Xavier University located in New Orleans, LA. The Executive Chef will be a dynamic team player with a strong background in managing frontline staff and developing teams in a culinary environment. Sodexo provides college campuses with food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions. Joining us at one of our campus sites enables you to positively influence college students' well-being and create a healthy learning environment.

What You'll Do

  • Implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for campus
  • Be responsible for food, physical safety, and annual training for all hourly associates
  • Manage, direct, and mentor frontline staff
  • Procure and purchase
  • Create menus based on client needs
  • Implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, and dining services
  • Create interpersonal relationships with clients

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum education requirement - associate's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum management experience - 2 years. Minimum functional experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
