Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that take into account the unique psychological and physical needs of elderly patients, ensuring all evaluations are tailored to individual circumstances.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, addressing the specific mental health issues encountered by older adults. You will work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, dementia-related challenges, and adjustment disorders, providing treatment that prioritizes their dignity, autonomy, and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and relevant therapeutic techniques.

• Experience providing therapeutic services to older adults in either individual or family settings is highly valued.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach that emphasizes empathy and trust-building.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
