Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct engaging and compassionate therapy sessions with clients through secure video conferencing platforms, ensuring a comfortable and confidential atmosphere.

• Assess clients' mental health needs through thorough evaluations and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that promote their well-being.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other frameworks that suit client needs.

• Provide ongoing guidance, emotional support, and practical coping strategies to assist clients in managing their challenges effectively.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential electronic records, meticulously documenting client progress, treatment plans, and other essential data.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive well-rounded, coordinated care across various support services.

• Dedicate time to continuous professional development by keeping abreast of the latest research, best practices, and therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will encompass a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, each with unique mental health challenges. You will develop an understanding of co-occurring mental health disorders and adapt your approach as necessary to address individual circumstances. The ability to engage and build rapport with various demographics within San Diego will be crucial to your success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Possession of one of the following licenses in California: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating proficiency in working with diverse populations.
\n
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and a solid understanding of mental health development across all ages.
\n
• Ability to assess mental health crises and utilize appropriate intervention techniques including crisis management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialized certifications or additional licensing in complementary therapeutic modalities such as DBT, CCTP, Sexual Offender Certification, Military and Trauma Certification, or LSATP are a plus but not mandatory.

• Experience in providing culturally competent care to diverse populations.
