Description What You'll Do

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory testsincluding chemistry, hematology, and immunologywhile strictly adhering to established protocols.
• Assess test results for accuracy, identify and resolve any errors, and perform preventive maintenance as well as calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist with specimen collection duties and adequately prepare samples for analysis as required.
• Thoroughly document all laboratory procedures, provide training to new staff or students, and assist in maintaining high quality standards in the lab.
• Ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment and comply with essential regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent allied health degree, including preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout the duration of employment.
