Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary mental health assessments by interviewing clients to gather relevant information regarding their mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.

• Document and maintain detailed case records from the initial consultation through the entirety of the treatment process, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups while integrating evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to promote healing and self-awareness.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as needed and identifying any obstacles impeding recovery.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to enhance the efficacy of treatment plans and client support.

• Communicate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Educate and support family members and caregivers in managing challenges related to their loved ones' mental health issues to foster a supportive home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Forest View Psychotherapy Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients exhibiting various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and an ability to establish rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, preferably within a community health environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a sign-on bonus.
