Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Mental Health Therapist, you will have a variety of responsibilities tailored to enhance client outcomes:

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients, evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms through clinical interviews and standardized tools.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, ensuring these plans reflect their specific goals, preferences, and challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Actively monitor and document client progress during therapeutic sessions, adjusting treatment plans based on real-time evaluations and feedback.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to deliver integrated and holistic care to clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the treatment of mood disorders, applying this knowledge to enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain confidential and thorough documentation of client interactions, treatments, and assessments, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and case consultations to continuously enhance clinical skills and stay updated on innovative practices.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs both within and outside the center, striving to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will work with a diverse population, ranging from teenagers to older adults, and provide tailored therapy that considers their unique life experiences and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a strong understanding of psychopharmacology as it pertains to client treatment.

• Demonstrated success in delivering therapeutic services to clients with mood disorders and fostering positive treatment outcomes.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, specifically in treating mood disorders.

• Prior experience in a remote or telehealth environment is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 90,000 and 100,000 annually for full-time positions.
