Work Environment

This position is exclusively onsite, which allows our Physical Therapists to develop strong, trusting relationships with their clients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical condition, history, and individual goals.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions accurately and create comprehensive, personalized treatment plans addressing each patient's specific needs.
• Guide patients in the utilization of therapeutic exercises and techniques, ensuring correct form and minimizing the risk of injury.
• Utilize hands-on therapies such as massages or stimulation techniques to promote healing and recovery.
• Assist patients with adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs or walkers, teaching them how to use these aids effectively.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining up-to-date records that track milestones and therapeutic outcomes.
• Advise patients and their families on appropriate in-home treatment options and exercises to complement their therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse patient population that includes children with developmental disorders, adults recovering from surgeries, and seniors with mobility challenges. By tailoring your therapeutic approaches to accommodate each individual's specific conditions and lifestyles, you will play a crucial role in helping them regain independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active Physical Therapy license in California.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills essential for documenting patient records and communicating with team members.
• A flexible and agile approach to providing care, adapting quickly to the varied needs of patients in their home environments.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on home health or community-based therapy.
• Experience in developing and implementing individualized care plans for a wide range of diagnoses.

Compensation and Benefits
