Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological and emotional needs of young patients, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews.

• Collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that take into account developmental stages, cultural backgrounds, and family dynamics.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, tailored to address the diverse mental health concerns of children and adolescents.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to support caregivers in fostering a nurturing environment while addressing relational dynamics that impact patient care.
\n
• Work in close cooperation with child psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and support across all treatment modalities.

• Respond to mental health emergencies by offering crisis intervention and immediate support services to young individuals and their families.
\n
• Deliver educational workshops for patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.
\n
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes according to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to enhance professional skills and stay updated with the latest research in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. This role requires sensitivity to the unique psychological needs of young individuals and a commitment to fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages open communication and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong theoretical knowledge and skills in child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as experience employing evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and family therapy focused on youth mental health issues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with young patients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, particularly with youth and families.

• Familiarity with community mental health resources and referral pathways to provide comprehensive support.

• Experience conducting teletherapy sessions and an understanding of telehealth platforms is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
