Travel GI/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring a GI Endoscopy Tech for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1-2 years of GI tech experience and Olympus scope handling skills.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Endoscopy department with 8 procedural rooms and 18 PACU bays,
• Unit performs 60-70 procedures per day, including MAC and conscious sedation cases,
• Patient population includes all age groups,
• Clinician to patient ratio is 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2/3 in PACU,
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 7:15am-3:45pm with a rotating 8:00am-4:30pm shift,
• Department operates 6:30am-5:30pm with rotating shifts required within that window,
• On-call coverage required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays,
• No floating required,
• Utilizes EPIC EMR for charting,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of GI Endoscopy Technician experience required,
• Experience with Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing required,
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred; Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted at some locations),
• SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred,
• License required if applicable,
• Active MA licensure required at time of consideration with no pending or conditional licenses accepted,
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions permitted,

Additional Information

• Perform scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing duties within the Endoscopy unit,
• Work alongside a surgical services team supporting MAC and conscious sedation procedures,
• Local candidates may be considered, with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston qualifying for local candidate status,
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
