Work Environment\n

This role provides the flexibility of a remote working environment, with the benefit of supporting patients at our outpatient office located in Beltsville, Maryland. Our clinicians work collaboratively and utilize advanced tools and technologies to ensure seamless patient care. We are open seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, allowing for a flexible scheduling approach that can accommodate your life outside of work.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment strategies.
\n
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and foster healing.
\n
• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Providing immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to ensure client safety and stabilization.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about trauma, its effects, coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Participating in professional development and case consultations to advance knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
\n
• Staying informed about the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LCPC with our practice, you will work with a diverse clientele experiencing various mental health issues related to trauma, ranging from children to adults. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping clients navigate their therapeutic journeys, and you will have the chance to make a lasting difference in their educational, professional, and personal lives.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• A valid and current LCPC licensure in the state of Maryland.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills marked by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for clinical documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Experience applying trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Knowledge of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building strategies.

• A willingness to see couples, with training provided as needed.

• Self-determined ability to manage clinical notes efficiently, ideally within a 24-hour timeframe.
