Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in the clients’ homes or via telehealth, providing tailored interventions to address emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on skills such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, specifically targeting high-risk behaviors.

• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring a coordinated approach to each family's treatment plan.

• Document all clinical activities accurately and within deadlines, including client intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Engage in monthly team meetings to provide insights and contribute to the continuous improvement of therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are faced with developmental and intellectual disabilities. By working in a supportive role, you will help these young individuals navigate their challenges, improve their decision-making abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life. The therapeutic approach is highly personalized, aiming to empower both the youth and their caregivers.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with some weekend flexibility considered an asset.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and interventions.

• Direct experience with children aged 3-20, particularly those diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for conducting in-home visits.

• Familiarity with documentation practices and compliance with mental health regulations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
