Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and pain assessments, interpreting physical, psychological, and social factors to accurately diagnose patients' pain conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans integrating various modalities, such as pharmacological approaches, rehabilitation methods, and lifestyle changes tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide ongoing management of chronic pain conditions, focusing on enhancing patient functionality, minimizing pain intensity, and improving overall quality of life.
• Address acute pain arising from injuries, surgical interventions, or other medical procedures using evidence-based practices to provide immediate relief and aid recovery.
• Prescribe and manage pain relief medications judiciously, carefully weighing the risks and benefits, while continuously monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Perform interventional procedures, including nerve blocks and epidural injections, ensuring safety and efficacy as part of a comprehensive pain management strategy.
• Educate patients about effective pain management strategies, self-care techniques, and necessary lifestyle adjustments, empowering them to participate actively in their recovery process.
• Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR) of patient assessments, treatment plans, medical histories, and ongoing evaluations.

Qualifications

• A completed bachelor’s degree, with a focus in health-related fields.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably within pain management.
• Valid state licensing and certification as a Physician Assistant, with eligibility for board certification in Pain Medicine or a closely related specialty.
• Strong clinical acumen, with in-depth knowledge of pain management and related procedures.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, built upon a foundation of empathy and patient-centered care.
• A commitment to maintaining proficiency in electronic health record systems and staying abreast of advancements in pain management practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a surgical or specialized pain management setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
