Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique trauma recovery needs and resilience-building goals.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients process their trauma experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall healing.
\n
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Providing immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and ensuring ongoing support for affected individuals.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Staying informed about the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance your skill set and therapeutic efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including both adults and adolescents. As part of our team, you will engage with clients who may present a range of psychological challenges stemming from their past experiences. They may seek your guidance in overcoming the debilitating effects of trauma, conflict resolution, and improving overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

To be a successful candidate, you must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LPC in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations and respond effectively to clients' needs.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarization with various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
