Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Stretch Synaptic Therapy Services, you will be part of a collaborative team in an onsite work environment focused on home care. You will engage directly with a diverse population of clients in their homes, allowing for flexible therapeutic practices tailored to individual circumstances. Key Responsibilities

• Direct the administration of physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain in clients.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure adherence to the prescribed plans of care, delivering therapeutic interventions effectively.
• Conduct detailed evaluations utilizing diagnostic tests to assess clients' functional abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Analyze the home environment to optimize rehabilitation outcomes and promote client independence.
• Administer comprehensive physical therapy services, which include manual therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and the application of physical agents.
• Provide recommendations for prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal modifications.
• Participate actively in the interdisciplinary team by attending case conferences, contributing to care plans, and reporting on the client's progress.
• Prepare and maintain clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, adhering to regulatory standards.
• Guide clients and their families in understanding home exercise programs and utilizing physical therapy devices effectively.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner, contributing to overall departmental efficiency and meeting branch policy requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on providing care to a wide range of clients with varying degrees of health challenges, including but not limited to post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, and mobility impairments. Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with an active license in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist in an acute or home care setting.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage patients and their families effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
