JamesCo Builders is a commercial general contractor based in Mount Dora, serving clients across Central Florida and throughout the state of Florida. We focus on commercial projects such as tenant buildouts, ground‑up facilities, and other professional spaces where quality work, predictable delivery, and strong relationships matter.

The role

I’m looking for a Business Development Manager to take the lead on finding, nurturing, and securing new commercial construction opportunities while strengthening relationships with our existing clients and partners. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys being out in the market—meeting owners, brokers, architects, and developers—and then working with our team to turn those conversations into well‑executed projects.

You’ll work directly with me (Owner/President) to help drive strategic growth, with a focus on repeat clients and the right kinds of projects, not just more volume.

What you’ll do

• Identify and pursue new project opportunities with owners, developers, architects, and brokers in Central Florida.

• Build and maintain long‑term relationships that lead to repeat work and referrals.

• Develop and execute a simple, consistent outreach plan (calls, meetings, events, and follow‑up).

• Track upcoming projects, RFPs/RFQs, and market activity and keep our team informed.

• Coordinate with our preconstruction and operations teams to qualify leads and support proposals.

• Help shape and refine our messaging (one‑pagers, LinkedIn, light CRM use) to support your efforts.

• Represent JamesCo at industry events, association meetings, and networking functions.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in commercial construction, CRE, or related fields in Central Florida (business development, sales, or client‑facing roles).

• Strong relationship‑builder who is comfortable talking with everyone from subcontractors to C‑suite decision‑makers.

• Organized, persistent, and reliable with follow‑up—you keep your pipeline and notes clean.

• Ability to understand project basics (scope, schedule, budget) and communicate them clearly to clients and our internal team.

• Self‑starter mindset: you’re comfortable owning your territory and bringing ideas forward.

• Valid driver’s license and regular presence in the Central Florida market.

Compensation

We offer a base salary with a commission package tied directly to the sales and projects you bring in. The structure is designed so your earning potential grows with the work you help us secure and successfully deliver.
