Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-depth clinical assessments to inform individualized treatment plans aligned with best practices in mental health.

• Employing therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based modalities to facilitate client progress.

• Documenting patient progress and treatment interventions in accurate, compliant clinical records while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.

• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other therapeutic staff to orchestrate holistic treatment approaches.

• Participating in weekly case consultations and peer supervision sessions to review client progress and enhance the quality of care provided.

• Educating clients and their families about mental health disorders, potential treatment pathways, and community support resources.

• Staying current with emerging research trends and therapeutic advancements within the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve a diverse range of clients, each experiencing their unique mental health issues. You will engage with individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other complex mental health conditions. Your expertise will be critical in providing the support and techniques necessary for these individuals to navigate their journeys towards improved mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or a Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• An active unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon.

• Strong understanding of solution-focused psychotherapy techniques and the ability to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of clients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging effectively with clients and other team members.

• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think critically in complex therapeutic situations.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in a clinical setting, specifically within outpatient mental health environments, are highly preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and recent experience working with diverse populations will be considered advantageous.
