Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is actively seeking skilled Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) to join our dedicated team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to make significant contributions to the lives of children and families in West Hempstead, New York, and throughout the state. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality therapy and support services while managing their work schedule between after-school hours of 4 PM to 7 PM, with additional weekend availability highly desirable.

Work Environment\n

This position operates within an outpatient setting, combining the benefits of both home-based and clinic-based therapy. As a remote therapist, you’ll engage with clients through a hybrid model, conducting sessions in their homes or via teletherapy. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized treatment sessions that may occur in the client's home or through virtual consultations, ensuring a flexible approach that accommodates families' needs.

• Develop and implement effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors, such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) or aggression, utilizing therapeutic techniques tailored to each child's unique circumstances.

• Promote the development of anger management skills, coping mechanisms, and social skills, actively helping children to navigate complexities of their environments.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other mental health professionals, integrating diverse perspectives to improve service delivery.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, including detailed treatment plans and notes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, address challenges, and contribute to collective strategies enhancing client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are living with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your therapeutic work will directly impact these young individuals by helping them navigate personal challenges, improve their decision-making skills, and empower their families to manage behavioral complexities effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to practice in New York.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during the critical after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM), with flexibility appreciated for weekend sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in providing positive behavioral support to children with behavioral and emotional challenges.

• Experience working with individuals across the age spectrum, particularly those aged 3-20 with intellectual/developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are essential for home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required to ensure the safety of our clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
