Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical examinations, to diagnose acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with supervising physicians, tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Perform medical procedures as needed, administer injections, and assist in interventional pain management techniques.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications that can improve their conditions and overall health.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Provide follow-up care to assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments based on patient feedback and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse population of patients suffering from various pain disorders, including but not limited to musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and post-operative pain. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for background in pain management or related fields.
• Exceptional clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, demonstrating the ability to make informed decisions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The position of Physician Assistant at Heritage Therapeutic Services offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
