Key Responsibilities\n

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Advocating for clients by assisting them in accessing essential community resources, social services, and support systems which are critical for their recovery journey.

• Providing immediate support and crisis intervention during challenging situations, ensuring the emotional safety and stability of clients at all stages of treatment.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation, including client records, progress notes, and individualized treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other health professionals to deliver holistic, coordinated care to clients, enhancing treatment efficacy.

• Educating clients on coping strategies, effective communication skills, and self-care techniques to empower them in managing their mental health during and after treatment.

• Participating in community outreach initiatives to increase awareness and develop partnerships with local resources, enhancing referral opportunities and community support networks.

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals battling substance use disorders, along with co-occurring mental health issues, seeking stabilization and recovery support. Your work in this outpatient setting will directly impact their ability to reintegrate into society, improve their quality of life, and achieve long-term recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in clinical social work, particularly within mental health and substance use disorder treatment settings.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on fostering trust and rapport with clients.

• A commitment to uphold ethical practices and respect client confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum experience required is two years, candidates with a background in outpatient mental health treatment, particularly within a detox or rehabilitation context, will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth practices and an understanding of trauma-informed care can be advantageous.
