Work Environment

This full-time position entails working in patients' homes, providing you with a unique opportunity to develop meaningful 1-on-1 relationships with clients while promoting their independence. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their home environment to assess their physical limitations and therapeutic needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, and use of specialized equipment, aimed at alleviating pain and improving mobility.
• Implement individualized treatment interventions effectively, closely monitoring and documenting the progress and responses of each patient.
• Regularly reassess and adjust treatment strategies, setting and modifying therapeutic goals in collaboration with patients and caregivers.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques, empowering them with knowledge to aid recovery and support ongoing self-management.
• Stay abreast of best practices by participating in professional development opportunities, including workshops and continuing education programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on diverse patient populations in home care settings, which may include children and adults recovering from various ailments including orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, or post-operative recovery. Our approach emphasizes patient-centric care, adapting our methods to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and families.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and basic computer skills to support clinical record-keeping.
• A highly flexible demeanor and the capability to adapt to changing patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in physical therapy, with a strong preference for those who have worked in home care environments.
• Experience working with children and diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a competitive benefits package that includes:
