Work Environment

This role is an onsite position, primarily working within our patients' homes. You will have the flexibility to choose your work hours, operating Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions and understand their specific symptoms, allowing for tailored treatment approaches.
• Perform detailed assessments to diagnose movement dysfunctions and develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans that align with patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercise techniques, ensuring they are equipped with the skills to engage in their recovery fully.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, such as massage or deep tissue stimulation, to rejuvenate and promote healing in affected areas.
• Guide patients in the safe usage of adaptive equipment, including walkers and wheelchairs, enhancing their mobility and independence.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records that track rehabilitation goals and outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to provide in-depth education on at-home treatment options and exercises.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will assist a varied age range from children to seniors, making a significant impact on their rehabilitation journeys within their home environments.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid physical therapy license to practice in Virginia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for clear interaction with patients and families.
• Competency in word processing and basic computer skills to manage documentation and patient records effectively.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of professional experience is required, candidates with additional experience in home care settings or specialized pediatric therapy will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits
