Position Overview

Healing Touch Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in restoring and enhancing patients' mobility, as well as improving their overall quality of life. Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic outpatient office setting, engaging with patients on a one-on-one basis. Our facility is designed to create a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere where patients feel confident in their treatment. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while providing essential patient care. As part of our team, you will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and therapeutic resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs by conducting thorough evaluations, identifying physical limitations, and establishing treatment goals.
• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address specific patient needs.
• Administer cost-effective therapy interventions, focusing on enhancing range of motion and functional mobility.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment strategies, and preventive measures to promote long-term wellness.
• Maintain a manageable patient load by scheduling and treating one patient per hour, allowing for dedicated care and attention.
• Implement customized fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's lifestyle and rehabilitation goals.
• Use clinical documentation software, such as WebPT, to ensure accurate record-keeping and communication of patient progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
• Engage patients with motivational techniques to encourage adherence to therapy sessions and home exercise programs.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment plans to ensure effective rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists predominantly of individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, chronic pain conditions, and post-surgical recovery. Many of our clients require targeted physical therapy interventions aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and preventing further injuries. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in guiding these patients through their recovery journey, ultimately helping them regain independence and confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is essential.
• Must have no record of board or disciplinary actions on your licensing history.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise programming is crucial for delivering effective patient care.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred, as it will contribute to a quicker integration into our practice.
• A background in working with diverse patient populations, including seniors and sports injury clients, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
