Work Environment

This position is based in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada, where you will provide onsite therapy in patients' homes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while being able to focus on patient care. Our home care setting means that you will have the flexibility of bringing your expertise into familiar environments for patients, which helps improve engagement and relaxation during their rehabilitation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to ascertain their physical therapy needs and developing individualized treatment plans based on findings.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to the patient's condition.
• Regularly monitoring and documenting patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
• Providing comprehensive education to patients and their families on injury prevention, care post-treatment, and effective wellness strategies for long-term health.
• Collaborating closely with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
• Engaging in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy techniques and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or conditions that significantly affect mobility and quality of life. You'll work with a diverse array of individuals, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each patient, helping them regain their independence and improve functional outcomes. You'll also have the opportunity to work with patients dealing with pelvic health issues, contributing to a vital and often underrepresented area of physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher from an accredited program. A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desired. Licensure may be considered for new graduates with relevant clinical rotations in orthopedics.
• Proficient in therapeutic skills, including manual therapy techniques and functional movement assessments.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills capable of effectively engaging patients and their families.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health physical therapy services.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for comprehensive patient documentation.
• Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniques such as Dry Needling or Pelvic Floor Therapy is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
